Is Awesome.
I have been listening to them pretty much non-stop since I heard Record Function, a track off their first LP, This Cursed House. They have been likened to Beirut and Sufjan Stevens and I'm not quite sure what the basis of this comparision is. Yes, they use a variety of stringed instruments like Beirut and yes, like Sufjan, they are from Michigan. But, besides that, I'm at a loss. Personally, I think their sound is much like that of the Silver Jews and Buried Beds kind. Very soothing. Very mellow. Very wonderful.
